Don’t believe soy can reduce cholesterol? Well, here’s a study that says otherwise. A group of scientists led by renowned Canadian researcher, Dr. David Jenkins, have published a study investigating soy protein’s role in reducing serum cholesterol. They concluded that, “soy remains one of a few food components that reduces serum cholesterol (>4%) when added to the diet.”

With the economy set to recover, we take a look at a nation that is primed for a strong comeback. Among the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) countries, China is predicted to become one of the fastest growing health food markets in the world. A recent report published by Nutrition Business Journal identified China as the top country that will offer the greatest opportunities for the nutrition industry in the next five years. United States follows as a close second.
