Burcon NutraScience Corporation is a research and development company building a portfolio of composition, application and process patents related to its plant protein extraction and purification technology. Burcon's patented process recovers valuable purified plant proteins from inexpensive oilseed meal.

Burcon, in conjunction with Archer Daniels Midland (NYSE:ADM), is currently focusing its efforts on developing the world's first commercial Canola proteins, Puratein® and Supertein™.

Canola is the second-largest oilseed crop in the world, after soybeans. Burcon's immediate goal is to position Puratein® and Supertein™ to compete with soy, dairy and eggs proteins as an ingredient in prepared foods, nutritional supplements and personal care products.
